“We Still Serve” — How Excellent Service Serves Us, Too
At DVS, we often talk about the responsibility and privilege of the work we do. Whether we’re supporting individuals seeking assistance with their healthcare insurance needs, or are seeking the fingerprint/background check vetting, we understand the weight of every interaction. Many of the people we serve are navigating difficult, emotional, or uncertain moments. For them, you’re not just a voice on the line—you’re clarity, reassurance, and dignity when it’s needed most. While our mission has always been rooted in service to others, today I want to share another truth:
Providing excellent customer service doesn’t just benefit the people on the other end of the call. It benefits us, too.
Service Strengthens Us
Every day, the work you do builds skills that are rare and powerful: empathy, resilience, professionalism, and calm under pressure. These aren’t just job requirements—they’re strengths that make you more confident and capable in your daily life. When you help someone find answers, overcome frustration, or feel heard, you’re also developing your own ability to:
Communicate clearly and respectfully
Solve problems efficiently
Stay composed in stressful situations
Show compassion even when it’s not easy
Those are skills that elevate you—not just as DVS employees, but as leaders, teammates, and most importantly, human beings.
Our humanity connects us to purpose
DVS was founded with a simple, powerful belief; that veterans, military family members, and those driven to serve others is woven into everything we do as a company and everything you accomplish as a team.
Each time you answer a call with patience instead of frustration…Each time you help someone clearly understand their benefits or next steps…Each time you approach a situation with empathy rather than judgment…
You are honoring that legacy of service.
Service Builds Pride
It’s easy to forget, in the middle of busy call queues and challenging calls, just how impactful your work truly is. But the feedback we receive, the outcomes we influence, and the gratitude expressed by callers all point to one clear message: You make a real difference.
And when you deliver excellent service—not just good service, not just adequate service—you build pride in your craft. You build pride in your team. You build pride in DVS.
Thank You for Continuing to Serve
Our company doesn’t exist without the dedication you bring every day. You embody who we are. You prove, through your professionalism and your heart, that service is more than a job—it’s a choice and a commitment.
Thank you for choosing to serve with excellence.Thank you for choosing to represent DVS with integrity.Thank you for carrying forward the belief that “We Still Serve.”
Let’s continue to support our callers, support each other, and grow together—because the more we serve, the stronger we become.
