Markell Johnson, Lead Supervisor at Disabled Veteran Solutions, served in the Army National Guard for 6 years reaching the rank of Specialist. During his service he developed his leadership and critical thinking skills as an infantry mortarman and provided support to law enforcement to ensure safety for events, such as a Presidential Inauguration.
Markell and his team were recognized for their exemplary service in assisting law enforcement during a visit from Pope Francis, known as Operation Iron Angel. The leadership skills he developed in his service to our country continue to serve him well as he transitioned to civilian life. Within a few months of working at DVS on the customer service team, Markell was promoted to a supervisory position due to his ability to quickly identify issues, develop thoughtful solutions, and implement improvements to benefit the company, its clients, and—most importantly—its customers.
As a Lead Supervisor at DVS, Markell encourages and develops his team. He holds his team to the same high standards he has for himself and then he supports them to achieve those standards. Markell is an integral team member at DVS, thanks in part to his military service.
